The Davenport Central High School girls swim team competed at the state meet! The weekend started with Mary Selden and the Davenport Central staff receiving awards for the regional swimmer and Coaching staff of the year. Congratulations to the team of Hannah Cousins, Isabel Heller, Simone Green, and Gabbie Hanson for being awarded state runner-ups with an All-American consideration time in the 200-yard medley relay. This week is National Apprenticeship Week! We want to celebrate our Rock Island High School students who are enrolled in the U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program and thank our community partners who are employing them for these apprenticeships.
