FINALLY! YOU Get To Learn About The Iowa And Illinois Events That Are TOO HOT For TV!

I saw an ad for something on TV recently that said it was “Too hot for TV!!!” Which was interesting, because, as I said, I saw the ad on TV. I wonder where that line is drawn? I mean, where is that particular thermostat that makes something “too hot for TV,” or “too hot for (whatever)?” Dave Chappelle did a comedy bit where he was talking about a podcaster saying he refused to comment on the R. Kelly mess because she claimed that Dave said that it, too, was “too hot for TV!” Dave said that he never said that, and then he made a bunch of jokes about... Read More

Davenport Loses A Tough One In The Little League World Series, Makes Iowa Proud!

They did Iowa proud, but Davenport Southwest Little League just couldn’t pull it off in that last inning, losing 8-7 to Great Lakes (Hagerstown, Indiana) in the opening game of the Little League World Series — a game that Bleacher Report called “an instant Little League World Series classic.” Davenport isn’t out of it yet though — they will move to the elimination bracket to play Northwest (Bonney Lake, Washington). BREAKING NEWS: Illinois' TaxSlayer Center Gets A New Name, And It's...

Moline’s TaxSlayer Center has a new name… …and it’s … The Illinois Quad City Civic Center Authority announced that the venue at 1201 River Drive would be given the new moniker of the Vibrant Arena at The Mark, named for the local credit union which is its new sponsor, and The Mark, which was its original name. The Vibrant Arena at The Mark was originally opened in 1993 as The Mark of the Quad Cities (and to be honest, a good number of people around the Quad-Cities still, and always have, referred to it as The Mark).
