That Dam Shopping Trip Returns To Illinois And Iowa Nov. 24-25

ROCK ISLAND, IL – That Dam Shopping Trip, a bi-state shopping tour of downtown Rock Island and Davenport small businesses, is back for 2023 and will be taking place Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th from 11 am to 5 pm. Ten businesses, skirting both sides of the dam, will offer sales and prizes as they welcome customers to our downtown on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. ALEDO, Ill. – Genesis Medical Center, Aledo, celebrated National Rural Health Day last week by receiving two prestigious national awards. It was a beautiful morning to celebrate the opening of Veterans Memorial Park, and we are incredibly proud of our students and staff who lent a helping hand to this project. West High School Art teacher, David Schaeffer, painted the 40-foot mural honoring the brave men and women who serve. Andy Zinn, West’s Industrial Technology teacher, and his students designed and built the structure holding the painting in place. The District is extremely impressed by your achievements.
