The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the team and individual qualifiers for the 2021 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships.  The 69th annual event will take place at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., May 18-21. Associate Professor of Voice and the Director of WIU’s Opera Theatre Penelope Shumate’s student, Abigail Domann, a sophomore vocal performance major, of Pratt, KS, was selected among only 31 singers in the United States, for her musical theatre category. She will now compete in the upcoming National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Vocal Competition. Throughout the past two years, hundreds of craft beer lovers from 17 different states have blazed the QC Ale Trail.  The QC Ale Trail invites beer lovers on a self-guided tour of the local craft breweries across the Quad Cities region. The new Bettendorf-based Double Threat Studios will debut the musical “Newsies” May 14th, 15th, & 16th at Assumption High School, 1020 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport.
