The City of Bettendorf is excited to announce that General Constructors, Inc. (GCI) of Bettendorf has been chosen out of three bidders to construct a large component of The Landing – a state-of-the-art aquatic facility – at the corner of 23rd Street and Middle Road. Today it was announced by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds that $9.6 million will be invested in Davenport through the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Destination Iowa Creative Placemaking Fund for a series of signature projects along the Davenport riverfront to enhance the experience for residents and visitors. Mississippi River Trail Closing for Scheduled Repairs

BETTENDORF and RIVERDALE, IOWA – April 28, 2023 – The Mississippi River Trail (MRT) from Duck Creek to Bellingham Road in Riverdale, Iowa is closing on May 10th and May 11th for scheduled repairs. Trail users are advised to use alternate routes during this closure and to stay clear of the closure and construction area. Both the cities of Bettendorf and Riverdale will be installing signage advising trail users that the trail is closed and providing an alternate route.    Read More
