The Bettendorf Public Library’s wildly popular Summer Concert Series is back from its hiatus and is returning to Faye’s Field on Thursday nights at 6:30 PM. Faye’s Field is located just south of the Library on 18th St in Bettendorf. These free concerts will take place every Thursday from June 2nd through August 11th and will be held come rain, shine or oppressive heat. The Teacher and The Davenport Community School District was awarded a $3,700,848 competitive grant Thursday, June 9 as part of Gov. Reynolds’ new Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship Pilot Program to grow Iowa’s educator talent pipeline and support expansion of registered apprenticeships in schools across the state. Western Illinois' Cerullo Named Interim Director of UCC

Cara Cerullo, a counselor in the Western Illinois University Counseling Center, has been named interim director of the center, effective July 1. Amy Buwick, who has served as director since 2018, retired in May after nearly 29 years of service at WIU. A national search will be held at a later date.
