Icestravaganza returns for the 8th year this Saturday Jan 18 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Freight House Farmer’s Market (421 W River Dr. Davenport)! A team of professional ice sculptors will work to make the Davenport Freight house come alive with iconic American symbols from ice. Watch as 24,000 pounds of ice blocks are transformed into incredible works of art. This year’s theme is Aliens and Area 51!

This event is free for all ages from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be interactive ice sculptures, live ice carving demonstrations, kids’ activities, two $500 giveaways from Necker’s Jewelers and Davenport Public Library story time. Pass the puck with Quad City Storm’s hockey goal game and even meet Radar. The Freight House Farmer’s market will also have extended hours from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Icestravaganza will continue the party into the evening with an After-Party (21 and over) from 6-8 p.m. There will be limited tickets (200) for $10 in advance or $15 at the door (your first drink is free with ticket purchase). Come enjoy craft beers from Front Street and cocktails with spirits from Mississippi River Distilling Company. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres from The Diner and Antonella’s Sicilian Pizzeria will be available, a 20-foot ice bar, dramatic ice sculpture lighting, live DJ and Fire Dancers from QC Sol Fire! Tickets can be purchased in advance online.

After the sun goes down, the sculptures will be lit to make viewing extra spectacular so plan to share fun photos with friends and don’t forget to tag #IcestravaganzaQC! After the party follow the music to the Front Street Brewery Taproom starting at 8 p.m.
