Moline Author Jason Platt Releases Second Graphic Novel For Tweens

Hold on to your hats! Jason Platt is back, with a brand new book for tweens, Middle School Misadventures: Operation Hat Heist! The book is the second on Little, Brown for Platt’s Middle School Misadventures series, and is available in online bookstores worldwide. The book follows a boy, Newell, on the cusp between tween and teen years, navigating his way through the strange and funny misadventures of junior high. The Black Box Theatre is presenting the holiday romantic comedy “It Had to Be You” by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna. I really wanted to like Playcrafters’ “Deathtrap.” After all, it has a quality cast and crew, many of whom I know or have worked with in theater, so I know they’ve got the talent to pull it off.
