Is the Black Friday traffic too stressful? Do you prefer a more relaxed day of shopping that includes great deals?

Then the 2nd annual “That Dam Shopping Trip” is something you’ll want to partake in. On Saturday, November 26th, small businesses from both sides of the dam will be holding sales, refreshments, and prizes on Small Business Saturday.

The shops that will be participating in this event are: Skeleton Key Art and Antique, The ARTery, Vintage Varieties, Taste Buds and Gentry Boutique in Rock Island, and Abernathy’s, Crafted QC, The Full Kit, Bucktown and Riverbend Retro in Davenport. All ten of these establishments will be contributing a $100 gift certificate which shall be pooled into a total of $1,000 worth of gift certificates to these shops for one lucky customer. The customer who walks away from each shop with a stamp shall receive this prize.

“New to That Dam Shopping Trip this year, several downtown restaurants will be offering lunch and dinner specials for shoppers,” says a press release from November 17th by Brandy VandeWalle, owner of Skeleton Key Art and Antique.

That Dam Shopping Trip shall take place from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Customers can pick up a stamp sheet at any of the participating locations and can turn in their completed sheets at their final stop.
