superhero-5kYou can be a hero by helping a good cause this weekend while also getting your 5K on – in costume.

The Superhero 5K will be held 7 a.m. to noon Saturday beginning at Veterans Memorial Park, 1645 23rd St, Bettendorf.

This event includes a 5K run, 1-Mile Walk, and Dash for Down Syndrome, as well as music, food and drink, games and more.

The 5K is a timed run. The top female and male runners will be recognized. The top 25 runners will receive medals.

The Kids Dash is an extension of the walk. If your child wants to particpate in the Kids Dash you will register them for the walk. 

Prizes will be given to the best costumes.

This year’s event will incorporate Generation G: a campaign and movement to be better every day.
