Illinois Congressman Eric Sorensen Comments On President Trump’s First 100 Days
Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) issued the following statement in response to President Trump’s first 100 Days in office:
“President Trump promised to lower costs for working families—but after 100 days, he’s done the opposite. Prices are up, and families are feeling the squeeze. Instead of focusing on solutions, the President has been busy starting disastrous trade wars, launching massive funding cuts, and making life harder for local people,” said Congressman Eric Sorensen. “While President Trump pushes dangerous ideas that threaten jobs, health care, and the programs our neighbors rely on, I’ve stayed focused on what really matters: lowering everyday costs, creating good-paying jobs, and protecting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I’ll keep working every day to make our communities stronger and safer—and to make sure working families always come first.”
Congressman Eric Sorensen represents Illinois’ 17th District in the United States House of Representatives. Prior to serving in Congress, Sorensen was a local meteorologist in Rockford and the Quad Cities for more than 20 years. His district includes Illinois’ Quad Cities, Rockford, Peoria, and Bloomington-Normal.
