Herbert Hoover Elementary School and Mark Twain Elementary School art instructor Meghan Purcell is the recipient of Artsonia’s 2022 Art Education Leadership Award. Rock Island High School Girls Soccer Team Leads Clinics For Local Kids, Youth Night TONIGHT!

The Rock Island High School girls soccer team is leading both on and off the field! Fresh off a big three shutout wins in the Orion Invitational last weekend, and on their day off from SAT/PSAT testing, the RIHS girls players led soccer clinics at the district’s elementary schools. The Moline Human Rights Commission is seeking input from residents in an effort to identify – and ultimately address – issues of inequality, discrimination or other challenges to inclusivity and rights that may be outstanding in the community.
