Iowa's Bettendorf Community School District Teacher Honored with 2022 Art Education Leadership Award

Herbert Hoover Elementary School and Mark Twain Elementary School art instructor Meghan Purcell is the recipient of Artsonia’s 2022 Art Education Leadership Award. The award honors pioneers in the art education community who continuously inspire their peers and engage students. Join the Figge Art Museum for a Virtual Wine & Art night this Thursday Jun 4 from 6 – 8 p.m. online! Meghan Purcell will lead participants through various types of printmaking, using foam, cardboard, paint and markers to make fun prints inspired by the museum’s collection! Explore your own artistic expression using a variety of techniques with this uniquely spontaneous medium.
