The Adler Theatre has announced that limited seating in the first four rows of the orchestra section will be available for $20 for the performance of RENT, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical. The $20 ticket does not include a $3.00 facility fee. In 1999 the Quad-City Playwrights Festival was created to inspire and showcase the work of budding high school writers. In 2005, it expanded to include writers from throughout the community. Each year, playwrights submit 10-minute original plays to an adjudication committee. After 36 years, Davenport Junior Theatre’s Mary Fluhrer-Nighswander Theatre is on course for key renovations this September. Over the last six weeks, the non-profit Junior Theatre Inc has been attempting to raise $40,000 by the end of April 30.
