I’ve always had kind of a mixed relationship with the music of Jimmy Buffett. I’ve seen him in concert a couple of times because I have friends who are Parrotheads and absolutely love him, and after seeing him once, I found his show really entertaining so I’ve gone along with them subsequent times to gigs even though my feelings on his music are, again, pretty mixed. Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse is thrilled to welcome Legends in Concert performer, Karen Hester with her tribute to the legendary Dolly Parton for two shows on July 20.  The theater will offer both a matinee and evening show. The Genesius Guild is closing their 2023 season with the comedy The Wasps. Performances will be held July 22, 23, 29, and 30 at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Don Wooten Stage in Lincoln Park. Admission is free. The production of The Wasps continues the Guild’s tradition of ending their seasons with a lighthearted rewritten Greek comedy.
