QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Illinois—The Quad Cities Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2023 Operations and Program Grant program. This year, the Community Foundation will award over $486,000 to nonprofit organizations in the Quad Cities region. Operations and Program Grants provide flexible and reliable funding for general operating support or program support for successful ongoing efforts. After two years of extensive work, the Alexander County city of Cairo, IL, will open a cooperative grocery store this month, thanks to assistance from the Illinois Institute of Rural Affairs at Western Illinois University and its Illinois Cooperative Development Center (ICDC).
