Quad City Arts is pleased to announce Arts Dollars grants for the 2022 cycle. Applications are welcome from individual artists, K-12 schools, and non-profit organizations partnering with artists. All art forms are eligible. Since 1990, Quad City Arts has supported the local art community by awarding more than $1,000,000 in grants to local artists, non-profit organizations, and schools. This year, Quad City Arts has received additional funding from a funder who wishes to remain anonymous to fund Visual Artist Grants. From now through January 28, 2022, Quad City Arts presents “Uncommon Ground,” paintings by Elaine Miller. The public is invited to attend the closing reception on January 29 from 11am-1 pm where the artist will be present, and refreshments will be served. Elaine Miller, of Chicago, presents four large scale paintings depicting the four seasons along with smaller canvases. Miller states, “This work is my life’s work. Since 2012 the Western Illinois University Foundation has worked with the WIU Department of Art to select a student to design the Foundation’s annual holiday greeting card. The opportunity gives a student the chance to showcase their skills and build their portfolio and also gives WIU alumni and friends a first-hand look at the talents of WIU students.
