This past Fall QC Strikers soccer club acquired new jerseys thanks to some tremendous help from our sponsors at Vibrant Credit Union. During that process some very thoughtful club parents presented an opportunity to repurpose our old jerseys and held a “cleat drive” toward a donation to children in Haiti. The School of Music at Western Illinois University, will present its 35th annual New Music Festival 2022 Monday-Tuesday, March 7-8. The events that make up the festival will be held in Browne Hall and in the College of Fine Arts and Communication Recital Hall. The festival is being directed by WIU School of Music Professor James Romig and Assistant Professor Hong-Da Chin, both composition faculty. Bettendorf Public Library Awarded $5,000 from State Library of Iowa’s ARPA Grant Program

The Bettendorf Public Library was awarded $5,000 in a grant from the State Library of Iowa from American Rescue Plan Act funds. The grant went towards expanding the Library’s digital collection of books and audiobooks that were specifically designed to support psychology, professional development, personal finance, wellness, and more. Exciting announcement! Thanks to a major corporate gift from Quad City Bank & Trust, the Figge Art Museum has added The Everyday by artist Latoya Hobbs to its growing permanent collection. The gift was inspired by the Figge’s Diversity and Equity Art Fund, established last year to combat the systemic inequality in the art world.
