MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING will be the first Prenzie Players show since 2019! After having to cancel our planned showtimes earlier this year, we’re back — this time with August dates.

Prenzie Veteran Jarrod DeRooi will direct this comedy from Shakespeare’s middle period — one of his wittiest, with Benedick and Beatrice starting out with total disdain for each other that blossoms (with much help) into deepest love. Everything that could possibly go wrong with this love story does, and the ways disaster is defeated are more than half the fun of this engaging work.

Watch the Prenzie FB for interviews with cast members!

Showtimes: August 3, 4, 5 at 7:30 pm, Saturday matinee on August 5 at 2:00 pm; Sunday matinee (Bob’s Matinee) on August 6 at 3:00 pm

Location: The Village Theatre, 2113 E. 11th St, Davenport

Tickets: Pay what it’s worth! (You decide.)

Tristan Layne Tapscott has been dubbed the “Quad Cities’ P.T. Barnum” and although the person who initially said it meant it as an insult, he happily accepts the title.
