Prenzie Players Presenting 'The Two Noble Kinsmen'Prenzie Players are presenting The Two Noble Kinsmen by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher beginning March 27 at QCTW, 1730 Wilkes Ave, Davenport.

This little-known collaboration between William Shakespeare and John Fletcher is based on Chaucer’s “Knight’s Tale.” Devoted cousins, Palamon and Arcite, knights at arms, are captured in battle and imprisoned. From their prison window, both men lay eyes on Emilia, a beautiful Amazon, and immediately declare their love for her. Meanwhile, the jailer’s daughter proclaims her love for Palamon and determines to win his love in return. Matters are further complicated when the duke of Athens declares that the cousins must fight to the death. The victor will win Emilia’s hand in marriage.

The show is directed by Catherine Bodenbender.

Once the show is over, however, we ask that you reflect on the experience, then stop out front on your way out and pay what you think it’s worth. No one should be unable to attend this show because of ticket prices; on the other hand, if you appreciate our work and have the means, we encourage you to be generous.
