Quad-Cities Theatre Workshop Names Glaspell Playwriting Winners

The QC Theatre Workshop in Davenport may not be presenting live plays before audiences, but it has named winners in its fourth-annual Susan Glaspell Playwriting Festival. And they’re recording videos of staged readings of each. Starting this weekend, the Workshop will release recordings of each of the three winners, one per week. Prenzie Players Presenting ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’

Prenzie Players are presenting The Two Noble Kinsmen by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher beginning March 27 at QCTW, 1730 Wilkes Ave, Davenport. This little-known collaboration between William Shakespeare and John Fletcher is based on Chaucer’s “Knight’s Tale.” Devoted cousins, Palamon and Arcite, knights at arms, are captured in battle and imprisoned. From their prison window, both men lay eyes on Emilia, a beautiful Amazon, and immediately declare their love for her. Peter and the Starcatcher Makes Its Q-C Debut

Quad City Theatre Workshop in Davenport will open Peter and the Starcatcher–the last production of their current season–on Friday, June 2. The show tells the back story to Peter Pan in the most playful and endearing way. QC Theatre Workshop Serving Up ‘Big Meal’

Davenport’s QC Theatre Workshop is serving up a “big meal” for its first gig of 2016.
