The Awareness Ride will depart from the Fairgrounds promptly at 10:30 a.m. Participants will then travel to Ducky’s Lagoon (13515 78th Ave W Taylor Ridge) and onto Missippi Brew (107 Iowa Ave. Muscatine) where the levy will be open for riders. The party then continues at Judy’s Barge Inn (600 W Front St. Buffalo), Gunchie’s (2905 Telegraph Rd. Davenport) and Jimmie O’s Saloon (2735 Telegraph Rd. #4332 Davenport). Next stop will be Thirsty’s on Third (2022 W 3rd St. Davenport) and then onto Off Point Pub (2025 Hickory Grove Rd. Davenport). Riders will then travel back to the Fairgrounds for an afternoon filled with fun.

Vendors will be set up all day at the Fairgrounds. Live music from glam metal party rock band Bad Hair will be provided from 3 – 5:30 p.m. In past years, the event has continued until 11 p.m., but will be wrapping things up at 6 p.m. this year.

Local vet Brian Mumm has been organizing the Rev It Up for Awareness event for the past nine years. What began as an event for local bikers to come together and help raise Motorcycle Awareness, soon evolved into an amazing way to come together to raise awareness AND funds for local charities. This year’s event will be raising funds for HERO (Healing at English River Outfitters) Veterans Camp. Brian Mumm shares, “I’m very happy, as a vet, to have a foundation that helps veterans to donate these funds to.”

HERO is an amazing organization that offers quiet, relaxing recreation area for veterans and their families, with a particular focus on accommodating disabled veterans and serving Blue Star, Silver Star, and Gold Star families. They have already served over 1,200 veterans and their families. And with the help of Rev It Up, can hopefully serve even more. HERO will have a booth set up at the Fairgrounds and will be accepting donations all day long. Or you can visit their website at http://englishriveroutfitters.org/ to make an online donation.

The Quad Cities have seen a dreadfully high number of motorcycle accidents this year and Rev It Up’s mission is to bring awareness and hopefully prevent these heart-breaking tragedies. Brian Mumm, along with immense amounts of help from Eric Ludtke and Phillip Potter, has created an amazing event that spans across two states and many hearts. With all of the uncertainty in our economy right now, the group did not feel comfortable reaching out to their previous sponsors and donors. So individual donations are extremely appreciated in 2020.
