Rock Island Fitness And Activity Center Open Today On Labor Day

Just a quick note to let everyone know that RIFAC will be open normal hours on Labor Day this year! Rock Island Fitness And Activity Center Reopening Friday

The Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center is scheduled to reopen on Friday, June 26th as we move into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. All amenities will be open with the exception of the steam rooms, saunas, whirlpool, and indoor playground. Members will need to wear face coverings when not exercising, maintain social distance of at least six feet, and sanitize equipment and exercise areas before and after each use. Rock Island Parks And Recreation Facilities Closed Through April 8

Rock Island Parks and Recreation programming and facilities including the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center will remain closed, due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) until April 8. Activity fees for programs and events that cannot be rescheduled will be credited for future use. RIFAC memberships will be extended for the amount of time we will be closed and monthly membership fee withdrawals have been temporarily turned off. Rock Island Fitness And Activity Center Closing Through March 29

Effective March 17th, the Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department is temporarily closing the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center to members and the public and suspending all scheduled programming including sports, special interest classes, fitness classes, and camps through March 29th. We are taking all necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our community by following the recommendation of health officials in order to prevent the community spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Princesses of all ages are invited to a brand-new Rock Island Parks and Recreation event! A Mother/Daughter Princess Party will be taking place on Saturday Jan 11 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Rock Island Fitness & Activity Center (4303 24th Street Rock Island). Dress up as your favorite princess and join in on the fun! Each Mother/Daughter will receive a complimentary professional 5×7 photograph. Spring has sprung, which means it’s time for Egg Hunts! The Rock Island Parks and Recreation are spicing things up, however, with an Underwater Egg Hunt! Join the Rock Island Parks and Recreation for their 2nd Annual Underwater Egg Hunt! The hunt will take place at the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center on Sunday Apr 7 from 1 – 3 p.m. The cost to participate in this one-of-a-kind egg hunt is only $5 per child (accompanying adult is free). Midwest Elite Dragons Camp Returns!

Midwest Elite Dragons Soccer CAMP is coming up and the deadline to register is Feb. 28! The fourth annual CAMP, for kids ages born in years 2007, 2008 and 2009, will teach kids soccer fundamentals, attack and defensive formations, team play and game theory! CAMP dates are March 12 6-8 pm at RIFAC; then three dates on the indoor fields at Rivers Edge— March 16 3:30-4:30, March 23 10:30-11:30 and March 29 6-7 pm.
