The Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center is scheduled to reopen on Friday, June 26th as we move into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. All amenities will be open with the exception of the steam rooms, saunas, whirlpool, and indoor playground. Members will need to wear face coverings when not exercising, maintain social distance of at least six feet, and sanitize equipment and exercise areas before and after each use. Rock Island Parks and Recreation programming and facilities including the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center will remain closed, due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) until April 8. Activity fees for programs and events that cannot be rescheduled will be credited for future use. Princesses of all ages are invited to a brand-new Rock Island Parks and Recreation event! A Mother/Daughter Princess Party will be taking place on Saturday Jan 11 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Rock Island Fitness & Activity Center (4303 24th Street Rock Island). Join the Rock Island Parks and Recreation for their 2nd Annual Underwater Egg Hunt! Midwest Elite Dragons Soccer CAMP is coming up and the deadline to register is Feb. 28! The fourth annual CAMP, for kids ages born in years 2007, 2008 and 2009, will teach kids soccer fundamentals, attack and defensive formations, team play and game theory!
