Whitey’s Ice Cream, a sweet institution throughout the area, will be temporarily closing all their stores starting Friday. Quad City Music Guild has cancelled “The Secret Garden” due to concerns over coronavirus. The theater group released the following statement today: Today, after reviewing the information presented at the QC COVID-19 Press Conference, Quad City Music Guild reached out to the Rock Island Department of Public Health for clarification on their guidelines and timelines. Moline’s TaxSlayer Center has postponed all events for 30 days due to concerns about the coronavirus. Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker announced plans to postpone all events expected to draw over 1000 people over the next month, and TaxSlayer has followed suit.
