EMSSC Bringing Top Soccer To The Quad-Cities

East Moline Silvis Soccer Club has long brought top soccer play to the area. Now they’re bringing TOPSoccer to the Quad-Cities. EMSSC is debuting TOPSoccer, a program for mentally and physically disabled people ages 5-22, at the East Moline Soccer Complex in May. TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities to learn and play the game of soccer. Athletes with mental or physical disabilities can check out the Beautiful Game with a beauty of a new program from East Moline Silvis Soccer Club! EMSSC is proud to present Top Soccer!  This program is for athletes ages 5-22 with mental or physical disabilities who want to learn to play soccer.  This will be a four week session in May, where once per week athletes practice skills and then participate in a coach-led game! East Moline Silvis Soccer Club is an organization on the rise in local youth sports, and the state of Illinois soccer coaches agree! Honor Loved Ones With Quad City Storm’s Paint The Ice

Tuesday January 28th the TaxSlayer Center will be open to the public from 10 AM – 7 PM for the Storm’s Hockey Fights Cancer Ice Painting.  Quad Citizens are encouraged to come to the arena to paint the names of loved ones who have fought cancer on the ice in the color that symbolizes the cancer they fought.  Painting is free and the Storm will be providing paint, brushes and everything needed for painting names on the ice. Storm forward Connor Fries has been named the SPHL’s Warrior ‘Player Of The Week.’  It is the first player of the week honor for a Storm player in franchise history.  Per the SPHL: “The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced that Connor Fries of the Quad City Storm was named the Warrior Hockey/SPHL Player of the Week for December 30-January 5. The Stanley Cup is coming to the Quad-Cities! The Stanley Cup returns to the Quad Cities for the first time in four years as the Storm celebrate Radar’s 1st birthday Friday December 20th at 7:00 P.M.The TaxSlayer Center doors will open to the general public at 6:00 P.M. and the Stanley Cup will remain on display on the arena concourse until the start of the third period.
