Two new events highlight the weekend at the German American Heritage Center, 712 W. 2nd St., Davenport. The first is a new exhibit, “Indelible Ink” opening Sunday, September 4. Quad-Cities artists Amber Williams and Ana Garza Moore took the top honors in the Revive 2 art exhibit taking place through August at Bucktown Arts Gallery, 225 East 2nd St.,  Davenport. Historic preservation professionals, advocates and volunteers from across the state will gather in Davenport this fall for the 2016 Preserve Iowa Summit and the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act.
