Davenport Community Schools’ board of directors has won an Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) Team Achievement Award for 2021-22. The DCSD board is one of only 15 across the state of Iowa that earned this award this year. The plaque is presented in recognition of the board’s support and encouragement for individual board member development. The concert is being held at the beautiful and historic Adler Theatre on Tuesday, November 29, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The concert features the Central, North, and West high school music department. Iowa Public Innovations and Efficiencies Awards Given to Davenport School District

State Auditor Rob Sand will hand-deliver a pie to the leaders of the Davenport Community School District in recognition of their Public Innovations and Efficiencies (PIE) Award. Davenport CSD is the largest school to receive the 2022 PIE Award. Sand created the PIE program in 2019. It serves to encourage governmental entities to implement cost-cutting measures and spark innovative ideas to save public funds. In the last year, PIE participation increased by more than 55%.
