Courtney Olsen has been hired as the Director of Equity and Learning Supports for the Davenport Community School District. Ms. Olsen holds an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology and holds the Director of Special Education endorsement. Davenport high school apprentices celebrated the start of National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) on Friday, November 12th. They were joined by Iowa Workforce Development, local businesses, and education leaders. National Apprenticeship Week is a nationwide celebration of Registered Apprenticeship programs and the critical pathways that these programs create. Last week, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a new law mandating schools offer 100% in-person education, and on Friday morning, three Iowa Quad-Cities superintendents discussed that impact – as well as other school changes in an online forum hosted by the Quad Cities Chamber.
