The Davenport Public Library is pleased to host the “Toward a Universal Suffrage: African American Women in Iowa and the Vote for All” traveling exhibit beginning September 1st through October 15th at the Main Library (321 N. Main). The exhibit honors and celebrates the contributions of African American women in Iowa to the women’s suffrage movement. A book club for Littles (kids in 3rd through 5th grade) and their Bigs (adults or older siblings) to read a book together. On the first Thursday of the month beginning September 2nd through December 2nd at 6:30 pm at Eastern (6000 Eastern Ave.) we will discuss the book and do some book-related crafts and activities.
