Labor Day weekend is almost here! Could there be a better way to spend it than going back in time and celebrating like the pioneers did?

Pioneer Village Labor Day Festival Brings Back Old TimesThe Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village is hosting their annual Pioneer Village Labor Day Weekend Festival on Sunday Sep 3 and Monday Sep 4 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Pioneer Village is located north of Scott County Park, at 18817 290th Street Long Grove. Admission for adults is $2, children are $1 and 5 and under are free.

There will be multiple opportunities to check out the Wild West Shows each day at noon, 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. From 11-3, see what the Down By The Creek Animal Sanctuary has to offer! Exciting Native American Shows will be happening at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30.

In addition to the scheduled activities above, there will also be ice cream, kettle corn, food, blacksmithing, weaving, rope making, kids’ crafts and old-time country music!

There will be plenty of pioneer fun for the entire family!
