Free Admission At German American Heritage Center’s Open HouseLooking for an educational family-friendly event this weekend, for free?

The German American Heritage Center and Museum (712 W 2nd Street Davenport) is hosting a Community Open House this weekend! That’s right, free admission for all!

Stop by Saturday Jan 6 or Sunday Jan 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and check out the incredibly informational exhibits that the GAHC has to offer.

Learn how toys and the idea of play have evolved through the decades in the exhibit “A Look in the Toy Chest”. Or stop by “1917: War Among Neighbors” to learn how German culture nearly disappeared from the Quad Cities following World War I. Come and see these magnificent exhibits one last time before they are gone forever!

Don’t miss out on the chance to view a performance of “Here, I’m Hank”, an original play by Janet Schapkohl on Sunday Jan 7 at 2 p.m. as well.

What a wonderful opportunity to check out one of the QCA’s most prized gems! Stop by the GAHC’s Community Open House, this weekend!
