Rock Island's Kayla Rice Wins Emerging Leader Scholarship

Congratulations to Rock Island High School student Kayla Rice for being selected as the recipient of the Patty Viverito Emerging Leader Scholarship!

She was surprised with the scholarship by her teammates, coaches, family, and Quad Cities who presented her with the certificate. This scholarship is given to High school female student-athletes that demonstrate academic excellence, leadership characteristics, and community engagement.

Kayla will be recognized at a check presentation at the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Hoops in the Heartland Basketball Championship in March.
