Western Illinois Broadcasting and Journalism Program to Hold Open House
The Western Illinois University Broadcasting and Journalism program will host an open house for potential students from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 in Sallee Hall, third floor.
This event will include a meet and greet with current broadcasting students, watching a live News3 broadcast at 4 p.m. and watching the setup and production of an ESPN+ broadcast during that evening’s basketball game.
This event is open to high school students, transfer students or anyone interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting, whether behind or in front of the camera.
“We want to welcome potential students and their families to learn about the possibilities for their future when they pursue a degree in broadcasting and journalism,” Pamela Peters, assistant professor and Production Coordinator for the Broadcasting and Journalism program said. “Having the opportunity to watch our student productions behind the scenes and ask questions of students and faculty will allow you to see a small piece of what we have to offer. We look forward to welcoming you!”
Those interested in attending can contact Peters at pa-peters2@wiu.edu for additional information.
