Get those fishing poles ready! It’s time to get some fish hooked! The Rock Island Conservation Club is hosting their 2nd Annual Get Hooked Fishing Derby on Saturday Aug 5 at the Conservation Club, located at 2421 Big Island Pkwy Milan. No fishing license is required for participants! All ages are welcome, but everyone attending must register prior to the event (whether you plan to fish or not). Are you ready for some football? How about some flag football? The 2nd Annual QC River Bowl will be happening this Saturday Aug 5 and Sunday Aug 6 at Centennial Park (315 S Marquette St Davenport). This event brings together local adult flag football teams to raise money for local charities. This year’s recipient is the Humility of Mary homeless shelter. That’s right, the Moline Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Back to School Bash on Sunday Aug 6 from 12-5 p.m. at Riverside Aquatic Center. Music Guild has announced its 2018 season. All show are at Prospect Park in Moline. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sundays.
