It's Good News, Bad News For Tugfest

It’s great news for the Iowa Tugfest, not so good for the Illinois side, as due to covid-19 restrictions, Illinois has had to cancel all of their Tugfest activities for 2020. However, it’s all systems go for Iowa as of now, according to the group’s Facebook page. They announced late Wednesday night that, “After much discussion, Team Iowa has decided to move forward with Tug Fest 2020! This was a decision that we did not take lightly but in the end, we felt that our Community needed and deserved to have at least a little part of our summer be somewhat “normal”.... Read More

One of the most iconic festivals in the Quad Cities Area is once again upon us. It’s time for some jazz! Bix Beiderbecke was a musical genius from our very own city of Davenport. He was a famous jazz cornetist pianist and composer. The annual Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival is not only a celebration of his accomplishments but a way to keep the genre alive.
