Quad City Storm Battle Bobcats, Trick Or Treat And Dog Costume Nights This Weekend

This weekend the Storm plays host to the Vermillion County Bobcats Friday and Saturday at the TaxSlayer Center. Friday is Trick or Treat on the Ice Night presented by iHeart Media and the puck will drop an hour early at 6:10. Kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes to the games and will be allowed to come down on to the ice postgame to trick or treat with Storm players. Sunday is the Storm’s first Pucks and Paws game of the season and will feature a Halloween dog costume contest. The game starts at 2:10 and dog tickets are free when purchased at the box office. Western Illinois University will honor members of the armed forces, along with two of its own fallen soldiers, Capt. Derek Dobogai and Lt. Col. Robert Baldwin, Saturday, Oct. 30 as part of the 10th annual Fallen Soldiers 5K Run/Walk. The event will begin with a ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at Hanson Field, with the race beginning at 9 a.m. in front of Western Hall on University Drive.
