Join Figge educator, Kelsey Vandercoy, for an in-person talk all about Haitian art on Saturday, November 6th at 3:00 pm at Eastern Ave. (6000 Eastern Ave.) The Figge Art Museum houses one of the world’s largest collections of Haitian art outside of Haiti itself. Vandercoy will give a brief presentation about the basics of Haitian art and why the Figge has so much of it, followed by a hands-on art activity related to the lesson. The Bettendorf Public Library is offering a look at World War II history through radio with host Steve Darnall. The Community Connections presentation will virtually host the radio historian on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 PM. From 4-8 p.m. Nov. 9, RockyTHON students will host its annual pancake dinner at the Macomb American Legion, 221 E. Washington St., as part of the organization’s year-round effort to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon.
