The Christmas tradition of “Julotta” returns at Bishop Hill State Historic Site. All are welcome to attend a nondenominational church service at 6 a.m. Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25 in the Colony Church. The word Julotta comes from the Swedish words for “yule” and “before dawn.” Christmas morning in Sweden begins with attendance at the Julotta service. Writers of all type and level will find a home at the Bettendorf Writing Club hosted by the Bettendorf Public Library. On Thursday, December 9th at 6:30 PM, the club will meet at the Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf. No registration is required to participate in this free event.
