Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) announced nearly $2 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Skip-A-Long Family and Community Services in Moline for Early Head Start programs. Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) voted to pass the bipartisan Targeting Resources to Communities in Need Act of 2022 to better direct federal funding toward communities with high levels of persistent poverty. This year’s Camp Rocky program, an annual event run by Western Illinois University students, was held April 30 at WIU’s Horn Field Campus. The program was organized and led by students from WIU’s Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration’s Camp Leadership course.
