A variety of holiday events at Malpass Library will be held Thursday, Dec. 1. A performance by the Western Illinois University Singers runs from noon-12:30 p.m. in the Garden Lounge, followed by the lighting of the Malpass Holiday Tree at 12:35 p.m. in the first floor atrium. Western Illinois University will host higher education scholar Professor Terrell Lamont Strayhorn from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Multicultural Center Multipurpose Room. Strayhorn, a professor of higher education at Illinois State University, will deliver “Creating Campus Conditions for Belonging: From Research to Practice.” The event is open free to the campus community.
