East Moline BMX will be hosting our biggest races of the year this upcoming weekend. An Illinois State Qualifier and Gold Cup race will bring over 250 riders to the East Moline BMX Speedway located at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds directly behind Kunes Ford. Extensive work has been done to the track in preparation for this weekend’s events. Eric Bress was brought in to rework and update the track. BREAKING NEWS: Illinois renters worried about the expiring eviction order at the end of July got a reprieve today from the CDC, which issued an order halting all evictions in areas of “substantial” and “high” covid transmission rates until at least October. Much of Illinois is in the “substantial” zone. BREAKING NEWS: Gov. JB Pritzker just announced a return to covid mitigations in Illinois due to the huge spikes in infections in the state, especially among unvaccinated people.
