On Friday, January 21, 2022, the Iowa Chapter of Certified Public Accountants is personally donating a new book to several first-grade classrooms in the Davenport Community School District. Local CPAs will be reading, “When I Grow Up I Want to Be An Accountant,” by Dr. Adrian L. Mayse, CPA, to these first graders. The goal of this book donation is to educate young students about the accounting profession and encourage minority students, specifically, to consider learning more about this field. Craig Cooper announced today he will be a candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives. Cooper will be a Democratic candidate in Iowa House District 81, which includes neighborhoods of West Davenport and Northwest Davenport. Cooper will retire from Genesis Health System as senior communications specialist at the end of January. He also is a former sports and business reporter at the Quad-City Times.
