Drop in June 1 anytime between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm for our Read Beyond the Beaten Path Summer Kickoff at the Quad City Botanical Center!  Here’s a sample of the ALL AGES fun we have planned:

  • Sign up for our free Summer Reading Challenge, and get your official Summer Reading Registration Patch
  • Pick up a free kids summer badge book, with ideas to help your school age kids keep reading all summer long
  • Get a Summer Reader yard sign, and tell the world you’re in Camp iRead!
  • Browse activities and crafts for all ages from RIPL, Quad City Botanical Center, Rock Island Parks, Metro, Nahant Marsh, the Army Corps of Engineers, University of Illinois Extension, RI County Soil & Water Conservation District, and Spring Forward
  • Roam the Botanical Center grounds during event hours for free! Look for tadpoles, find the ABC garden, and splash in the Children’s Garden.

Admission and all activities are FREE. Storm date is June 2.  The Quad City Botanical Center is located at 2525 4th Avenue.
