Ice cream always makes everything better, unless you’re lactose intolerant, and so the news today that Whitey’s Ice Cream had selected their contest winner for their new flavor has been met with a welcome bliss from all but the lactose intolerant and their sadly intractable (literally) lactose-loathing stance.

Because here’s the big news: The flavor contest winner was MONSTER COOKIE submitted by Abby Barkema!

Whitey’s released the following incredibly important information and quotage today on their Facebook page:

“We know there is a lot going on in the world right now and that our stores are temporarily closed, but we wanted to share some good news with all of you! This flavor will be available in our stores sometime this summer and will be a peanut butter ice cream with chunks of peanut butter oatmeal cookies, chocolate chips and M&M’s!

“As a reminder, there were multiple suggestions for each of the final four flavors and the first entry submitted, how it will be made, was chosen as per the official rules. Stay tuned for more details and thank you all for participating!”
