What’s Happening This Weekend At The Mississippi Valley Fair

The Mississippi Valley Fair has been roaring throughout the week, through rain and heat and corndogs and more, and it’s getting ready to roll into a great Midwest weekend with lots of cool stuff and big acts in the always welcoming Mississippi Fairgrounds, 2815 W. Locust Street, Davenport, Iowa.

This weekend sees Jessie Murph and Stella Lefty taking the big stage tonight, Tucker Wetmore and Braxton Keith bringing the country to the main stage Friday night, the Goo Goo Dolls and Neon Trees alternative rocking the stage on Saturday and Sunday bringing in big names Craig Morgan and Neal McCoy to make the last day of the fair a country style occasion.

From delicious food to fun Grandstand shows to the free entertainment, rides, and family fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Mississippi Valley Fair, as it’s one of the most attended and memorable summer traditions in the Quad-Cities, so get your tickets now!

Every day of the fair offers something different, from special admission days to concerts and family activities, livestock shows, 4-H competitions, commercial vendors, carnival rides, exhibits, free entertainment, and nightly Grandstand concerts. The fairgrounds are open from 7:00 a.m. until midnight (12:00 a.m.) every day of the fair, with the Carnival open 11 to 11 and concerts beginning at 8 p.m.

The Mississippi Valley Fair is known for dozens of food vendors serving everything from classic fair favorites to unique treats. What's Happening This Weekend At The Mississippi Valley Fair

There are also a number of special events days, including Thursday Kids Day (free admission for children 12 and under all day) and Sunday Military Appreciation Day (free admission all day for active and retired military with valid ID)

Major concerts scheduled at the Grandstand include:

  • Thursday, Aug. 6 Jessie Murph with Stella Lefty
  • Friday, Aug. 7 Tucker Wetmore with Braxton Keith
  • Saturday, Aug. 8 Goo Goo Dolls with Neon Trees
  • Sunday, Aug. 9 Craig Morgan & Neal McCoy

Concerts Tuesday through Saturday begin at 8:00 pm. With a Pepsi Premier Pass, you can enter the grandstands at 6:00 p.m.  Fun Card & General Admission is at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the concert begins at 6:00 p.m. With a Pepsi Premier Pass, you can enter the grandstands at 4:00 p.m.  Fun Card & General Admission is at 4:30 p.m.

Single Concert Tickets are available in limited quantities and include one day of fair admission plus admission to that night’s concert. Prices are:

  • Jessie Murph – $50
  • Tucker Wetmore – $50
  • Goo Goo Dolls with Neon Trees – $50
  • Craig Morgan & Neal McCoy – $30
