YakAttack Your Way Down the Rock River!

Whether you are a seasoned kayaker or a newbie looking for a good time, you will not want to miss this event!

The 3^rd Annual Quad Cities Kayakers Group Rock River YakAttack happens this Saturday Aug 10. Kayaks will be attacking the Rock River, full force!

This year, there will be two starting locations!

For those who would like a longer and more scenic paddle, a departure will take place from the Cleveland Boat Launch at 7 a.m. The Cleveland start will take you through the twists and turns of scenic woodlands that run in between the islands of the Rock River before you wind around back to the main channel, of the river. This route will be approximately be 9.5 miles to the finish site at Len Browns in Moline.

Another launching location is at the Colona Boat Launch, and will take place at 9 a.m. The Colona start will be a leisure paddle down the main channel of the Rock River. This route will be approximately 7.5 miles to the finish site at Len Browns in Moline.

At the time of launching from the Colona Boat Ramp, the Kayakers from the Cleveland Boat Launch should be paddling by the Colona Ramp and everyone should finish at about the same time at Len Browns!
