Jousting? Medieval games? Vikings? Sounds like a great time!

The Greater Quad Cities Renaissance Faire returns this weekend, Saturday Sep 21 and Sunday Sep 22, at Credit Island Park (2200 W River Dr. Davenport). From 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. you are invited to enjoy some family fun and entertainment.Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Jesting and Jousting Come to the Quad Cities!

Admission for adults is $12 (or a 2-day pass for $18), kids 5-15 are $6 and under 5 are free! There will also be a $2 discount to Military Personnel with I.D. Buy your tickets in advance online.

Live stage entertainment, activities and demonstrations will provide the utmost enjoyment for the entire family. This event will mark the first-time horseback jousting will be seen in Davenport! Along with the Joust Evolution tournament spectacle, there will be three stages of scheduled acts running on both days. Some of the top headliners this year will be the Shattock Schoole of Defense comedy swordplay show from Iowa City, the music recording group Orckes & Trolles from Des Moines, Jesters4Hire from Wichita with their magic and puppetry, Molotov Stoopid Human Tricks with fire from Chicagoland, and Bobert the Great from Davenport. Various other comedy and theatrical acts or solo performers will be on hand, as well. There will even be a real Renaissance-themed wedding ceremony on Saturday.

Food and drink will be a plenty. Amos Foods will be fulfilling all your greatest desires with turkey legs, full meals and beverages. Give in to that sweet tooth with Milt’s Funnel Cakes & Lemonade. Not to mention the numerous merchants on-site selling everything from jewelry, bracelets, pottery and ceramics to woodwork, games and shield.
