It’s Festival of Trees time again!

The 2018 KWIK STAR FESTIVAL OF TREES, benefiting Quad City Arts, is sprouting up November 15-25, 2018. General Admission opens Saturday, November 17 at the River Center, 136 E. 3rd St. Davenport.

This year’s theme is Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree for the 33rd annual gig featuring a spectacular display of over 150 designer trees, rooms, wreaths, fireplace mantles, gingerbread creations and other holiday gift shop items that are all sold to raise money for Quad City Arts, a local non-profit arts organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the Quad City region through the arts. Festival Of Trees Sprouting Up Again!

Under the direction of the Festival of Trees co-directors, Stephanie Witt and Kathy Aden, this year’s Festival will feature a new DESIGNER PRO CHALLENGE area, where professional designers will compete for a people’s choice award. Visitors will have the chance to vote via text message platform, for their favorite PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER TREE. The winning trees will be awarded ribbons on Sunday, November 25th with announcements to follow in the Quad-City Times, on the Festival website and on social media the week after Festival ends.

This fun-filled event for all ages, will continue to feature all the familiar attractions and events that many have come to know and love, including the Festival Express Train, Reindeer Games Children’s Activity Center, Gingerbread Village, Treat Shoppe, Tinsel Treasures Gift Shop, High School Art Exhibit, CenterStage performances and of course your chance to visit with Santa!

The 26th Annual Holiday Parade will take place in downtown Davenport, Saturday, November 17th at 10:00am. Broadcast live by KWQC-TV6, this event features giant helium character balloons, pageant queens, dance groups, floats, marching bands and of course your chance to see Santa making his way down the parade route! The procession will begin at 3rd Street & Pershing Ave. going west to Scott Street, then turning left to make its way back east on 2nd Street, finishing at 2nd Street and Iowa Ave.  Co-title sponsors of the holiday parade are: Arconic, KWQC-TV 6, John Deere and Regional Development Authority. Parade entries will be accepted until October 24th on Festival of Trees website: qcfestivaloftrees.com

Festival of Trees has become a beloved community event and holiday tradition. More than 3,000 volunteers, 600 designers, and over 150 sponsors and friends of Festival, help make this event possible each year.  Over 100,000 people experience Festival annually, making it one of the largest attractions in the Quad Cities.
