There’s a lot happening at Rock Island’s Circa ’21 Dinner Theater over the next few months! The venerable institution is bringing in a huge array of shows, showcases and concerts for a variety of audiences. Here’s the rundown:

Mainstage Shows:

  • SHEAR MADNESS – Through April 30: Audiences are loving this absolutely hilarious comedy which is the longest running comedy in U.S. history.
  • SISTER ACT (Quad City Premiere) May 4 – July 2: The hit 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg comes to the Circa ’21 stage.
  • MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL – July 6 – August 27: A musical celebration of women and “The Change”.

All mainstage shows are performed on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is also a matinee performances on Wednesday.  Tickets are $50.16 (dinner, show, tax) for the evening shows and $44.41 (lunch, show, tax) for the matinee shows.  Doors for the evening open at 5:45, Buffet: 6-7:00, Bootlegger Preshow.

Children’s Musicals:

  • JUNIE B. JONES: THE MUSICAL – April 19 – May 21: The popular children’s book character returns in an all new show.
  • LYLE THE CROCODILE – June 21 – July 23: A story about a friendly crocodile who turns up in a bathtub in New York.

These shows happen on selected days throughout the week.  Both are show-only (with no meal or bar service) and tickets are $8.50 per person.  Show times are either 10:00 am or 1:00 pm depending on the day.

Concerts:

  • CHRIS COLLINS AND BOULDER CANYON (John Denver Tribute) – Two shows April 7th.  Tickets are $44.41 (1:00 matinee) and $50.16 (7:15 evening)
  • THE LETTERMEN (Over 50 years of hits!) – Two shows May 9th.  Tickets are $51.73 (1:00 matinee) and $58.00 (7:15 evening)
  • THE RETURN (Beatles Tribute Show) – One (show only) performance June 16.  Tickets are $27.50 in advance and $35.00 a the door. Doors open at 6:00 and show at 7:00
  • JOHNNY COUNTERFIT (Voice Impressionist and Comedian) – Two shows July 14 – Tickets are $44.41 (1:00 matinee) and $50.16 (7:15 evening).
