Western Illinois University Holding Arts Smarts Trivia Competition

The Performing Arts Society (PAS) at Western Illinois University will host “Arts Smarts Trivia” at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at The Macomb Dining Company in downtown Macomb, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Teams of eight players will answer arts-themed questions about past WIU and Macomb arts entertainers, vintage TV, Broadway, the circus and more. Western Illinois University School of Computer Science Professor In Lee received a Distinguished Research Paper award from the Society for the Advancement of Information Systems (SAIS) at the 2022 MBAA Conference. MACOMB/MOLINE, IL — The Western Illinois University Department of Mathematics and Philosophy has received approval for its new master’s program from the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE). The Master of Science in Teaching Mathematics (MSTM) degree is designed for current teachers of secondary mathematics. Courses will all be offered in an online format. Western Illinois University graduate students from the School Psychology program met recently to prepare for potential internship positions, beginning in 2023. Graduate students from the Specialist in School Psychology program meet annually with district psychologists and administrators to discuss internship, graduate assistantship and practicum opportunities.
